SCARA Field Day 2020

The Field Day operation this year was quite different than any previous Field Day. We were under restrictions because of the COVID-19 virus. The ARRL came out with waivers for certain Field Day rules for the year 2020. In a nutshell, these rule waivers allowed Class D stations, which are fixed home stations using commercial power, to make contacts with all station classes. Normally, a class D station is not allowed to make contact with any other class D station. All stations operating in the event would submit their own personal Field Day entries. Additionally, if they wished to, they could include their radio club affiliation in the personal entry and the club could also receive credit for their efforts. The scoring entry application on the ARRL website would then calculate an aggregate score for the indicated club which for SCARA will be listed as Southern Counties ARA . All results should be available from the ARRL sometime in December.
At our July meeting those members wishing to have their Field Day operations posted on the website were asked to send their results to Larry KB2MN via kb2mn@arrl.net Here are the results from our members that have been sent to the website editor as of 8/14/2020:
