Our annual dinner was held at the Greate Bay Country Club Restaurant in Somers Point, on Friday, January 13, 2017. The club would like to thank Harry, KD2AYT, for handling the arrangements for our dinner and Nancy, N2ANG for making the dinner programs.
Our speaker was Jon Miller, KC2TNV, gave a talk about "The Importance of Amateur Radio for today's Emergency Communications". Everyone enjoyed the evening telling stories and sharing their experiences from the past year.
Service awards were given to Vivian Millar, Heidi Greb, Ben N2WCL, Tom AB2KP, Mike AC2RK, Hunter KD2JUB,Bob WA2YSA, Bill W2SY, Bill KC2AAY,and Larry KB2MN.
Our VE team for 2016 was recognized for their contibution and dedication to our monthly amateur Radio test sessions.The team included K2JGB, N2LTQ, W2GLH, N2ANG, KB2MN, K6MZ, KB2YVY, KD2BAQ, N2MHO, AB2KP, KC2ZOM, KQ6ZL, W2OB, W2JDT,KN2J AND WA2YSA.
The club awarded Jesse Pagan WA2PRY honorary lifetime membership in SCARA.
